Security advisory and its affect on Unity

This field notice came out a few days back:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/partner/products/products_security_advisory09186a0080436587.shtml

Since Unity is installed on a non-Cisco-customized version of Windows, we have to check with Microsoft for a fix to Windows on that box.

My concern is if installing that patch would break anything on Unity. If Cisco folks can confirm that we can go ahead with installing the patches from Microsoft on Unity, we can proceed.

Hi -

Here is the link to the recommended service packs and updates for Unity - http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_device_support_table09186a008020a63e.html#wp74189

Critical updates can be applied as soon as they are released from Microsoft, but I always install in a test lab environment first and test Unity :-) Service packs are different and are supported by Cisco within 60-days, I believe, of the issuance of a Microsoft service pack.

Regards,

Ginger
