Hi,
I have found an issue with Unity 5.0(1) and Phone View, If I set the Conversation Language set to (English United Kingdom). However when I call in and select option 5 and then 4 to display messages on the phone I get an error of - "Searching .... The system cannot display messages on your phone, contact your system administrator"
If I change the Conversation Language to English (United States) all works fine.
Is there any way of getting the Phone View option working with the UK conversation?
Thanks
Glen

Are you using the same phone for both test calls? I am not aware of any Phone View issues that impact UK English.

Hi,
I am using the same phone and account, I am just change the language locale under the conversation setting of the mailbox.
I can also confirm this effects all voicemail accounts on site.
Thanks
Glen

I would escalate to TAC to investigate this issue further.
We do have a Phone View troubleshooting document here that TAC will probably suggest you look at for starters:
Unfortunately this doesn't seem to touch on the problem you are seeing.

Hi Glyn,
It looks like this bug;

1. Dial in to Unity
2. To find a message press 5
3. To display all new messages press 4
4. Searching
5. The system can not display messages on your phone. Contact your system administrator.
Event Viewer will show following error:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: CiscoUnity_PhraseServer
Event Category: None
Event ID: 10002
Date: 3/12/2008
Time: 2:53:45 PM
User: N/A
Computer: UNITY5UM
Description:
(MyJsExt.cpp) Script: subsearchmsgstack_ENG.ps (JavaScript) -- $FILE:C:\CommServer\Localize\Scripts\ENG\subsearchmsgstack_ENG.ps $LINE:203 -- ReferenceError: PHNAP_CISCOIPPHONEMENG is not defined
Conditions:
The TUI language is set to UK English (ENG).
This defect exists in Unity 5.0(1). It does not exist in Unity 7.x and later.
Workaround:
Use a text editor (e.g. notepad.exe) to modify lines 203 and 206 of
\Commserver\Localization\Scripts\ENG\SubSearchMsgStack_ENG.ps as follows:
original line 203 phone.xml_object = PHNAP_CISCOIPPHONEMENG;
original line 206 lMaxMenuItems = MAX_ICONMENG_ITEMS;
fixed line 203 phone.xml_object = PHNAP_CISCOIPPHONEMENU;
fixed line 206 lMaxMenuItems = MAX_ICONMENU_ITEMS;
Hope this helps!
