Unity 7.0(2) and Exchange

Our domain was recently upgraded to R2.  Before upgrading to ES40 of 7.0(2) to bring our server up to compliance with an R2 domain.  I re-ran the permissions wizard and this is where the problem started.

Before voicemails coming in were sent to our exchange 2003 server as being from the caller.  So that when you replied or forwarded the message it would go back to the internal account in AD.  If the caller was from the outside then it came from Unity Messaging System - Server Name.  Now all messages come from that account.  So when people on campus try to reply they are sending it to the mailbox for Unity Messaging System - Server Name.

Is there a setting I missed that will turn this feature back on?

Hi Josh,

There is no setting for this.  Have you confirmed that your dialplan hasn't unexpectedly changed?  If Unity isn't being passed caller ID that matches subscribers' extensions, it's going to classify it as an unknown caller and the Unity_ account will proxy for it.

Hope that helps,

Brad

The caller ID information was correct as it was in the subject of the message.

It turned out to be an error with the message store permissions and not being able to forward the messages correctly to the message store.  After working with TAC on an issue we had partnering with Exchange 2010 the issue was resolved while running MSCW.
