Hi
Have configured a call handler that transfers a call to an externall cell phone. However the caller id received on the cell phone is random. Can this caller id be fixed to one number say the voicemail pilot so that a user can quickly identify that the call is coming from their voicemail call handler?

I suspect what you are seeing is the extension number of the individual Unity port that performs the transfer. Unity has no control over what outbound Caller ID gets sent. This would be controlled by the phone system or your PSTN gateway/trunk.

Hi Hilary,
Have you tried changing the "External Number Mask" in Callmanager for the specific VM ports that are used for dial-out message notification? Perhaps you could change the mask to show the VM Pilot number.
Hope this helps!

Hi Rob
I updated the 'External Number Mask' on all 32 voice mail ports on the CCM to have the correct number. However this has not resolved the issue.
Thanks
Hilary
