Unity Connection & UnityUM with 1 CM cluster

Hi ,

Is there a document that would explain integrating two mesaaging systems i.e Unity UM and Unity connection with one CM cluster.

The reason is users in one region have Exchange and Unity UM and at anothe location users are on send mail server.

Any doc explaining dual intergration with the above two products or a brief rundown any GOTCHA"S would be fantastic.
