Hello Experts,

Greetings to all!

For Setting the Unity testbed in LAB what are the neccessary h/w requirments needed? I just checked the unity datasheets in CCO location but no luck :(

Could you please help with the solution for me?

Is it possible to install the unity 7.0 in VM-Ware for learning purpose?

Thanks,

Palanivel.

It's supported even for live environments if you meet requirements

Design Guide for Cisco Unity Virtualization

Cisco Unity Supported Platforms List

It's ok regular VMWare if only for lab and testing or learning

Thanks much for your quick response!

I have couple of doubts in the link which you have shared me for h/w requirment.

1) does the unity box(MCS Server) will acts as a message store? or de we need to have a seperate message store server?

2)Is it possible to use CU independently (for VoiceMessaging purposes only) without a CCM?

Thanks,

Palanivel.

Depends of UM or VM, read here

Exchange Requirements-Message Store

I don't see the point of having Unity when there is no CCM, you could only see the GUI and config subscribers but you can't call, Unity can't call, no MWI, etc

If all you could send messages thru viewmail only to other subscribers doing it all via the PC
