I have a customer who would like to dual-integrate Unity UM into their existing I3 Customer Interation Center via SIP. The other switch would be a CM 4.x cluster integrated via Skinny.
Looks like I3 supports SIP integration. I'm wondering if this has been attempted before or is even supported. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Unity's SIP interface is really intended as subscriber lines to a Cisco SIP Proxy Server. I don't know if you'll be able to get it to play nice talking directly to the I3.
Instead, what you might consider is integrating Unity with just the CCM then establish a SIP trunk between CCM and I3. Looks like that'll provide the RDNIS need to route forwarded calls from the I3 to the correct mailbox. But I'm not sure if it'll pass MWI across the trunk. Anyway, here's the CCM doc on SIP to get you started. The IP Telephony forum might offer more knowledge on SIP trunks for CCM if you want to persue that.

Eric

One possible option is to use I3's Interaction SIP Proxy to interface between the CIC and Unity.
You may want to explore this options.
Thanks
