Doing a new install of Unity 4.0.4 Unified Messaging. Unity is a member server running windows 2000 in an 2003 Active Directory domain and is connecting to Exchange 2003 off box.
I am at the part in the Unity Installation and Configuration Assistant where I integrate with the phone system (Cisco CallManager 3.3.4 SR2) and I get an error when I click on the Run the Cisco Unity Telephony Integration Manager.
The error I get is:
Telephony Integration Manager
Failed loading the MiuRegistry component. Error 0x80070002. The system cannot find the file specified. In order to use the Telephony Integration Manager your Windows account must be a Cisco Unity administrator and a member of the Administrators group on this computer.
My account (UnityInstall) is a member of the local administrators group on the Unity server so I don't know what the problem is. Has anyone seen this before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I had that exact same error last week. In the end, I rebuilt my box and followed the staging guide to the letter. One thing I noticed was in the accounts and permissions section, there are a couple of accounts you have to make manually. Here is a link.

I know I did not have all five accounts present the first time, so perhaps that was the cause of my issue.
Good luck.

Thanks for the reply Joe. I should have updated this post once I found a resolution. I did have the accounts created at the time and the permissions wizard ran successfully, although I had 4 accounts created and not 5. Not sure where you are getting the 5th. The 4 I had were
UnityInstall - Unity Installation Account
UnityAdmin - Unity Administration Account
UnityDirSvc - For Directory Services to log on as
UnityMsgStore Svc - For Message Store Services to log on as.
Anyway, I ended up having to install the latest version of the Uninstall Unity tool and running it. It cleanly removed Unity from my server and I was able to rerun the Unity setup program and it worked this time without any issues.
I didn't have to reload the server from scratch.
The only caveat I have is that when I start the server the CiscoTDSProxy service hangs on startup. I hangs enough to give that annoying service control manager error message in windows, but when I log in and check the service, it is started. Other than that everything seems fine so far.
Thanks again for the reply.
