Hi all, I am very new to Unity and just installed a system in my office. I have noticed that when outside callers try to leave messages, they get cut off after 30seconds. I have found a setting under: Subscribers - Messages - Max message length = 300secs. Am i looking at completely the wrong thing?
I am running Unity 4.0.5.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you've got an MGCP gateway, make sure it has "no mgcp timer receive-rtcp". Here's more detail in a CCM Troubleshooting Guide...

Also, make sure you've installed a valid license for your system. The demo license Unity installs with for testing is limited to 30 second message lengths to prevent it from being used in a production environement (as well as limiting users and ports).

IF you did use a valid license file, open the licensing applet (Start, Programs, Unity, Licensing)
To confirm that you did install the correct license, the Voice Ports should be more than 2. If it is, then check
Message Recording Full Length. This should be Licensed
and
Languages should be at least 1
I've seen license file (\commserver\licenses) missing the Message Recording Full Length. If it is missing, then call Customer Support to have it fixed.

Hello,
We had a simillar problem. The solution for us was that the call manager server time and the unity server time settings did not match. Unity server was 4min faster to call manager server. After correcting the time on the unity server too the call manager server Unity server voicemail messages were reaching the correct length of time (300 secs).
hope this helps...
