I have a customer that recently upgraded from 3.x to 4.0(4). Since then they have been having miscellaneous problems, such as:
-MWI not synch'ing
-Deleting message with the phone does not delete them from mailbox
-Can't add subscribers (says DC is down or cannot be contacted)
One thing they did tell me is that they demoted the Unity box and it's no longer a DC, and it was before.
One other thing, they are now getting the /web/global.asa cannot fire message if you go to the dns name (liberty_vm1). Is this fixable through any other method than rebuild?

Little more information...they demoted the unity box, and at the time, it was named LIBERTY_VM1, then after demotion, they renamed it to LIBRTY-VM1. I see in the application event viewer that the CiscoUnity_DSAD is saying that AvDSAD is skipping a synch cycle because it failed to connect to dc LIBERTY_VM1... blah blah blah.

so, they haven't completely hosed themselves, they just did an incomplete job of name change?
