From the PA documentation:
"Cisco Personal Assistant provides a speech recognition interface that allows users to use simple voice commands to perform tasks. Users verbally dial entries that are in their personal address books or the corporate LDAP directory."
My question is, does Unity integration with PA allow for dial by name for the Directory Handler. I NEED to verify that I can setup Voice Recognition to dial by name for external callers, not logged in subscribers dialing from personal address book or corp directory. I need to be able to have the Auto Attendant say press 4 to dial by name or Speak the Persons name without having to have IVR with ASR to get this.
TIA

From the PA folks:
==========
PA offers a limited speech enabled auto-attendant that allows outside callers to name dial from the corporate directory, press 0 to go to an operator, or spell by name. It has no other capabilities like nested menus and other AA related stuff.

So does this mean PA integrates with the CCM corporate directory as opposed to AD in Unity? So if I did a full integration of Unity and CCM with the corporate AD then it would be one and the same.
If the desire is to have the caller first have the ability to use voice reco to name dial then the corporate main number would have to access PA and then have a "name" which accesses the AA in Unity where the menu's would not have voice reco capability.
On the other hand, you could make the decision to build you AA in IPCC Express and thereby fully speech reco enable the AA including the directory access but then you would have to be able to access an LDAP directory to get the number based on the spoken name. Is it possible to access an LDAP directory from a script in IPCC Express?
