unlink users from old unity server with exchange?

Current unity server is on system and not fully working. Built a new unity server, and am trying to add users to it, but the exchange users are still homed to the first unity server.

Since the first unity server is inaccessible, this must be an AD field. Can this be changed? Can I just delete the old unity location in AD?

What is the best way to unlink the users from the old unity server?

Yes, users in AD are "tagged" as subscribers assigned to that box - you have to clear those properties off before you can import them onto another box. Normall you would do this on the SA of the box in question but since it's not flying you have to do this by hand.
