Hi, hopefully a quick Q. We currently have CBE6000 8.6 running on two C200 M2 hosts. We're looking to upgrade software version to 10.x or preferably even 11.x. Does this require purchasing new hosts, or can we upgrade on our existing hardware?
Thanks.

That will depend on the exact specs/resources you have, and what OVAs are used.

UCS 200 falls in the category of Small UConUCS TRC provided your server matches the exact BOM details mentioned in the below document:
http://docwiki.cisco.com/wiki/UC_Virtualization_Supported_Hardware#C200_M2_TRC.231
If not, then it will come under the category of UC on UCS Specs-based. Talking about UC on UCS Specs-based, there are two things Full UC Performance CPUs and Restricted UC Performance CPUs, check the above document for same thing and see if your servers qualifies to install v10 and 11 or not.

Thanks Deepak/Jaime.
They sure don't make it easy do they.
As best I can tell we are running exactly the C200 M2 TRC#1 as listed at the end of that doc. Model shows as R200-1120402W in vCenter and the specs match (Intel E5506 @2.13GHz, 24GB RAM, 1TB SAS 7.2k RPM etc.)
I notice in the note it says "This TRC has special rules for allowed VM OVA templates and co-residency." but I don't see those rules listed anywhere.
So.. still unsure whether we can upgrade versions or not...

No, it's actually not that complicated, you just need to find where your server falls in regards to restricted performance, or full performance, and then look at the apps.
