Upgrading CUCM 9.1 to 10.5 or 11.x using PCD

Hello,

I'm trying to upgrade a cluster with four CUCM 9.1.2 and one IM&P 9.1.1 servers to 10.5 or 11.x using PCD 10.x.

Below tasks executed successfully -

1) Cluster discovery.

2) Upload new iso to SFTP datastore.

3) Schedule upgrade task.

4) Switch version.

Questions -

1) Do I need to install below cop files before upgrade (In my lab setup upgrade was successful even without below cop files)

    a) ciscocm.refresh_upgrade cop

    b) ciscocm.version3-keys cop

2) When to change ova settings like Linux from 32 bit linux 5 to 64 bit linux 6 & memory or hard disk changes if required. (In my lab setup upgrade was successful even without ova changes)

Not sure if we really need to do above changes while performing upgrade using PCD ?

Any help is appreciated.

Regards,

Vikas W

Read the upgrade guide for 10.5(x) or the 11.5(1), they have all the info you're asking about, reading them should have been your first step in planning an upgrade.

PCD upgrades require the same changes you would do on a manual upgrade, and those have to be done manually, PCD will not change any VM setting for you.
