Upgrading from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 W/Unified

I was wondering what was involved in upgrading from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 with Unified Messaging. The Exchange server is not on the same box as Unity and we are not running the Unity as a Domain Controller. I was told that it's a 30 minute job which I find hard to believe. Any input would be great, any problems to look for would be great.

Thanks

check out the migration and upgrade guide here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_upgrade_guides_book09186a0080222fdf.html

it has some details in there about upgrading Exchange with Unity. I'm not sure from your description all that you're doing, but 30 minutes when dealing with an Exchange upgrade all by itself seems awfully optimistic...

I am doing the same thing. Going from Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2000 but different Org and on different box. Will be fresh install. Does anyone know if you can export call handlers from 2.6 and import into 4.04? Is there a utility I can use? I have looked at CiscoUnitytools.com and found a 2.x export utility but nothing that says it will import into 4.x

Read the doc at the link above your post... it talks about going from 2.x to 4.x. Yes, there's a pair of utilities called FullDBExport and FullDBImport that is designed to do just what you're talking about.
