Is there any way that I can clear the usb memory stick so that I can use it as a memory stick? We upgraded and no longer use it as a security key.

no - it's not a memory stick, it a programable ROM - even if it were all writable there's only something like 512KB of space on there I think... considering you can get a 258 MB key for under $40 these days, not much value there!
