A user notified me that callers who try to find him by "dial-by-name" get no results. I checked his account and he's set up properly and has the option set to appear in the directory. I confirmed that trying to dial his name does not work.
Where can I look to start troubleshooting this? I don't see anything that's misconfigured.

It's the famous unity...... has the subscriber enrolled their vm box yet? If the user does not run through the tutorial, they will not be listed in the directory.
Try it.

More to the point, they must have a voice name recorded.

You're both right. After a year of having this CM & Unity systems installed, this guy never went through "the trouble" of recording his name, greetings, etc. Nice, huh?
