I have a customer Company A who merged with another Company B.
Each company has already had its own Unity Connections Cluster with its own Microsoft Domain, LDAP and Exchange integration.
It is the same scenario for merging CUCM from two to one new cluster.
So we will build a new UC infrastructure with :
1. A new CUCM Cluster
2. A new Unity Connection Cluster
3. A new IM&P cluster
Company A and B users will migrate to the new UC Infrastructure.
Questions:
1. Can I use COBRAS to export and import these two companies' Connections database to the new Connection Cluster? (of course we have to consider the limitation of what COBRAS can export and import)
2. If yes, is there any preparation and precaution to be considered?
I appreciate if anyone can share your experience with me.
Regards
Joseph

Yes, you can use COBRAS to consolidate servers, you should be using internal resources for this kind of questions, reach out to me if you need assistance with where to ask.

For migrating settings such as users, call handlers, etc I would recommend COBRAs, but for migration of actual voice messages (if that is needed) use shuttle unity connection tool instead of COBRAS as it is much, much faster. Just like COBRAS this tool is available on ciscounitytools.com.
