Voicemail forwarding to an outside number

A few Unity users with extensions 1xxx have there mailboxes setup to notify them to an outside line whenever someone leaves them a message.

The problem is that whenever they get called by the voicemail system for one of those notifications they are prompted to enter their extentions and if they do not want to receive notifications to this number just press one but when they start entering their extensions which starts with the digit one the system thinks that they want to disable notification to this number.

Is there a work around for this issue?

you can either wait until the prompt to disable dialout completes and they're asked for their extension or, I believe, you can hit # to skip through that and go right to entering their ID.

We're stuck having to allow users to disable dialouts (i.e. someone fat fingered a delivery number) by law in many places so we can't skip that in the delivery conversation
