Hi, I installed a CUCM version 8.6 on a UCS as I need to upgrade to version 9.1.2 and I have the mac address of the virtual machine in mode automatic.
I change from VSphere (in edit VM) the mac address in mode manual with the exact mac address that has now the virtual machine?
Regards,
Vincenzo.

For 8.6 to 9.X you dont need to do that:

Besides what Terry just mentioned, and provided the link to my wiki, are you doing this because of ELM???

Yes, I'm doing this for the ELM. Now the mac address of the VMs is in automatic mode, must set the mac address in static mode. By check that I made in lab, I tried to make the change but it is not allowed.
I decided to change the mac address before performing the upgrade, as the license does not use the mac address of the VM.
