Create custom MOH G729 - CME

Hello. From version CME 11.7  MOH file in G.729 format can be used as MOH source (moh g729 <path>). Archive CME-COMPLETE-FILESET-12.3.tar contains working sample "music-on-hold-g729.wav".  It is a valid file, but I can't find method to create custom audio in this format. Which tool I can use for this?

All my tries to convert audio is ended with this output:

R(config-telephony)#moh g729 flash:/CME-FILES/MOH.g729
File "flash:/CME-FILES/MOH.g729" is unacceptable for the specified codec.

Valid file has header: "RIFFР WAVEfmt...". and identified online file detector as RIFF (little-endian) data, WAVE audio, mono 8000 Hz.

It sounds like you confused the process. The file type must be in a PCM/WAV format. The output that CUCM creates to the phones using the file would be the g.711 or g.729 format you are thinking of.

Hello, thanks for answer. You're right. I try to upload PCM WAV to my test CUCM and it convert it automatically to compatible with CUCME format g729. Next, I download this file from CUCM and upload to CUCME and it accepted it. Thanks.
