Hello
I have configured SQL 2016 database following this document
Database compatible level is set to SQL 2012.
Message Archiver will not start. External database is assigned to compliance setting. I have restarted XCP router several times, i actually rebooted the node. The database user can log into SQL studio administration. The SQL server is reachable from CUCMIMP.
This driving me nuts, why archiver will not start. Help please
Thanks

Neither the SQL version you're using, or the particular configuration you're trying to use were tested by Cisco, there is no guarantee that what you're trying to do will work.
I did this config on a video with SQL 2014 SP1 and it worked perfectly at the first try

I suggest you use one of the versions that were listed as supported.
If you want to keep trying with your config, you should review the logs from message archiver.
