Hi All,
I have misplaced my Terminal Cable to console to the Meetingplace 3515 Media Server, mp-3515ms-av250.
I built one using the cable pinout provided by docwiki.cisco.com:
To Chassis (DB-9 Male) | Function | To PC Terminal (DB-9 Female) |
2 | TXD | 3 |
3 | RXD | 2 |
5 | GND | 5 |
My cable is tested to be OK, however, i'm getting no response from the device.
Has anyone faced a similar problem?
Thanks
Hi,
Try with this:
Signal Name | Side 1 | Side 2 | Signal |
---|---|---|---|
TD (Transmit Data) | 3 | 2 | RD |
RD (Receive Data) | 2 | 3 | TD |
RTS (Request to Send) | 7 | 8 | CTS |
CTS (Clear To Send) | 8 | 7 | RTS |
SG (Signal Ground) | 5 | 5 | SG |
DSR (Data Set Ready) | 6 | 4 | DTR |
CD ( Carrier Detect) | 1 | 4 | DTR |
DTR (Data Terminal Ready) | 4 | 1 | CD |
DTR(Data Terminal Ready) | 4 | 6 | DSR |
There are no more document, but if Cisco says that it's a null modem cable, then it's a "full" null modem cable.
Not the 235 pinout only.
Regards,
Antra
