I have CUCM 9.1 and Unity 9.1 in my setup.
We want to setup feature where Unity should outdial users mobile number whenever that user gets new voice message.
To achieve this, I have configured notification device under "User" and respective mobile number.
Default outdial table (Restriction table) has allowed all numbers.
I'm observing that when someone leaves the message for user, Unity is not making call to CUCM to route the call further.
From configuration point of view, it seems everything is right. I checked RTMT port monitoring and found that Unity is not invoking call to.mobile number.
Any hint where the issue could be?
Thanks

I'm trying to figure this one out too - have you made any progress?
When I configure one of the notification devices using an internal extension, the call goes through. If I configure a cell phone, it appears that nothing happens. My guess is that the off-campus call is being blocked somewhere.
Your question is helpful to me because I wasn't even aware of the default outdial restriction table.
Thanks!

Hi Lisa,
No, it didn't work at that time and I left it as it is b/c of lack of time. I will touch it again in coming days.
Please note that if notification number is not known to Unity (not added as subscriber in Unity), respective number must be allowed in default outdial table else Unity won't invoke this call to call manager.
If your internal notification device works and only cell phone is not working as notification device, you can first allow the same in default restriction table. Now verify using port monitoring tool that call is hitting the call manager and then call manager has correct partitions/CSS to route this call further to cell phone.

Thank you for that information!
I used port monitoring tool to confirm that the call to my cell phone was being made. I think you're right about the partitions / CSS being the problem - my voicemail css doesn't include the gateway partition.
