200 M3 issue with installing ESX with 40G mLOMs

I am having an issue installing ESX to san boot lun, it times out saying lun not found. The adpater is 40G mLOMs running version 2.0(4b)Same connectivity (VSAN, zoning) works just fine for a 200 M3 with Palo adapter on it.

Any known issues with mLOMS and B200M3. Am I missing any fnic drivers?

Yes you need the correct drivers.  Palo and the mLOM use different chipsets and therefore different drivers.

Are you using the Cisco Custom ESX Installation ISO?  The drivers will be already included.

Available from VMware here:

ESX 5:

Rob,

After ensuring I had the required drivers, it still fails. It had the write ISO in the first place.

The host has 60+ Data luns and finally after I disconnected the visibility of Data luns to the host thereby ensuring just boot lun was visible, installation was completed.

I have seen this issue on both 1240's and 1280. Somehow there is latency and hence it takes a long time to have all the luns until it gets to the boot lun. Seen on UCS firmware version 2.0(4a) and 4b

I am going to try to narrow down on this and find out more.
