Hello,

Hi

I recently build new setup for UCS 5108 chases with 2x blade servers ( B200 M5)

using two Cisco UCS 6332 16UP FI connected to  Brocade SAN Switch with one Netapp af220 storage FC mode (as show in this diagram).

In this setup blades boot from the SAN. (ESXI) everything smoothly

but I decided to reboot the blade servers to boot from CD-DVD but i found that the boot from CD/DVD no more available in the boot menu

I've try many time by change/create new boot policy from the boot order menu

as well as Re-acknowledge and Decommission the blade servers
but still same issue always i got this screen

In the boot order 'help' menu info, there is a note in regards to CD/DVD:

  • Add CD/DVD or

    • Add Local CD/DVD

    • Add Local Remote CD/DVD

In a setup with M5 blade servers, if an ISO is mapped to the KVM console, use only Add Remote CD/DVD in Boot Order.

See if that works.

Kirk...

thank you ...

I've spent time to find a reason + to solve it, and did not find anything , I did not expect need to activate first from KVM and then appear automatically.

thanks again
