Boot order

I have installed my OS on two disks - i.e /dev/sda and /dev/sdc. 


What needs to be done if I need to boot OS which is on /dev/sdc. I don't see option to change the boot order in the boot order policy. In BIOS boot order I don't find logical name like /dev/sdc.


I'm running CISCO UCS.

Currently, the system is booting from /dev/sda.

The device naming (/dev/sdc) is relative to your OS only, and not to the BIOS/boot policy.

You would need to point to the specific device or virtual drive that represents  /dev/sdc in your OS.

UEFI boot options are also flexible in pointing to specific devices, but that would require you knowing what physical device the /dev/sdc is parked on.

Are you booting to jbod devices, virtual drives(raid volumes), etc?

Also the F6 post time Boot Menu option, will present you with all the bootable devices the bios is aware of.

See if F6 lets you pick your other '/dev/sdc' drive...
