Hello,
While having a look at UCS C210 tech specs, I just saw the server doesn't support 3 TB HDD's...making the server less powerful than, let's say DELL 510, which can hold about 36 TB in a 2RU rack-mount server (obviously utilizing these 3TB HDDs, which are in the market since many months ago).
I was wondering whether there's any explanation on that.
Thanks a lot,

Just to add, those 3TB drives in the Dell server are 3.5". The current C210-M2 supports 2.5" drives, so the capacities aren't as high.
We do have plans to offer platforms that support the 3.5" drives and higher capacities such as 3TB drivces in the coming year. Our market strategy has more customers doing boot from SAN/Network so the higher local storage densities wasn't prioritized as urgent but it's coming for those wanting it.

Robert

Dani,
I assume Dell has validated 3TB drives. I'm checking with our hardware team to see if/when this will be the case with us.
Stay tuned!
