hi:
Can I use C220-M3's Serial Port (RJ45) to connect to my notebook so I can get the Video Display and using my keyboard of my notebook?
I am thinking hard now if customer DOES NOT allow us to use their network as yet to access CIMC via a browser.
Opton 1:
Assign an IP in the same subnet as the CIMC on my notebook but even that I need a physical connection to that C220-M3 right?
OR
I have to copy everything I need like ISO files to an external Hard Drive, plug it to C220-M3, plug in a USB Keyboard. plug in a VGA Monitor, etc.
Thanks.

Hi Sim,
If you want to use the console port for video redirection, you will need to enable this feature in the bios first before you can use it as it is disable by default. Also notice that the Baud Rate is set to 115200.
If you are planning to configure the server through this port note that you will be limited to configurations that you can make. For example, you won't be able to map an iso for OS installation. Also, I haven't tried myself, but I don't think you will be able to configure a raid volume through the webBIOS utility since you will only see plain text through this port.
If you are not allow to get into their CIMC network, the best option you have is option 2.
Option 2:
"I have to copy everything I need like ISO files to an external Hard Drive, plug it to C220-M3, plug in a USB Keyboard. plug in a VGA Monitor, etc."
