C240M4 showing ATA INTEL ssdsc2bb480g401 extra disk in Linux Bundled OS

We have configured RAID 6 on a Cisco UCS Rack server C240 M4 which 24 nos. of 1 TB Harddisk. RAID6 is configured properly and we are able to see the usable capacity. But when we install a Linux Modified OS on it, we also see 2 more hard disk (see attached screenshot).  In BIOS Boot options, we found these two ATA Intel SSDSC2BB480 drives and disabled it there.  But still it is showing in Linux OS due to which OS configuration has some problem.  How can we disable these two extra disk in Cisco UCS server so that these two drives should not be visible at OS installation.

Greetings.

Are these the two 2.5" SSDs that are mounted on one of the PCIE risers internally?

If they are, you may need to remove them if you don't want your OS to see them at all.

You can certainly remove them from the boot order, which it sounds like you have already done, but you may need to open the case and remove the SSD drives.

Customer frequently order the PCIE riser option with the SSD drives so they can install the OS there (PCH controller), and leave the 24 hotplug drives free for data, CEF, Hadoop, etc.
