Can you install VMware tools on the UCS Central appliance?

I am wondering if it is possible to install VMware tools on the UCS Central appliance? We're running version 1.1(1a) of the appliance. The OS type appears to be RedHat, but the CLI is not the standard linux interface, so I don't see a way to mount and run the VMware tools installer.

Just to update this question, I spoke with Cisco TAC and there is no way to install VMware tools on the UCS Central appliance.

Hi Jason,

No you cant install the vmware tools on UCS central , since the central gui is read only and we cant modify that.
