Cisco UCS 5108 FC Port configuration

Hi,

We have a Cisco UCS 5108 with two Cisco UCS 6324 Fabric Interconnects. We want to connect the FI's to 2 upstreams SAN switches.  In order to accomplish this, we need the change the FC mode to End-host mode.

The physical FC ports are now configured as Storage ports. If I change the FC mode to End-host, are the ports then automatically converted to uplinks ports? Or do I need to change each port manually?

I would guess you will need to manually reconfigure as FC uplink.  Despite being an invalid option in end host mode, once you switch over to FC end host mode (and the FI reboots), you will probably need to unconfigure and reconfigure as FC uplink.
