Greetings.

Assuming this is in reference to SMPTE 2022?

The M61KR-I specs can be reviewed at http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-b-series-blade-servers/data_sheet_c78-623739.html

Please keep in mind this is an older adapter that is now EOL

I'm not familiar with SMPTE 2022 or similar spec, other than what a quick Google check provided.

I would expect similar provisions would need to be made, like you would for FCOE or iSCSI storage traffic, to afford it priority within your LAN.

From the spec sheet

10-Gbps Ethernet, IEEE 802.3ae (XAUI), IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.1Q (VLAN), IEEE 802.1p, 1000BASE-BX, and jumbo frames up to 16 KB

Latency 10 to 12 microseconds

So your config would likely include:

  • DCB/PFC/802.1Qbb
  • QOS/COS utilizing a nodrop class
  • Jumbo frames
  • RSS for Microsoft or scalable I/O on Linux systems

There would also be other items outside the UCSM that would need to be correctly configured for end to end QOS and Jumbo frames to optimally work.

Hope this helps.
