Hi,
I'm looking for a supported RAID controller on UCS server that can do caching to SSD for ESXi 5.5 / 6 / 6.5.
May I know the Cisco UCS Blade Server / Cisco UCS C Server support the SSD caching on RAID controller?
After this setup, it can make the hot data access on SSD? How many size need prepare on the SSD? Need reconfigure the RAID, so Need clear install ESXi?

Currently the 92xx and 12Gb Cisco Raid controllers do not have that feature available currently in the M3/M4 UCS servers.
That 'may' be available in future generation of servers however.
Thanks,

Greetings.
I believe you are referring to Broadcom/LSI's 'cachcade' feature.
Currently the 92xx and 12Gb Cisco Raid controllers do not have that feature available.
That 'may' be available in future generation of servers however.
Thanks,

I checked the doc to talk about the LSI® MegaRAID® CacheCade⢠Pro 2.0 Caching Software support the SSD caching? Is it supported on UCS server too?

I checked the MegaRAIDĀ® SAS 9271-8i support the
Optional SSD Optimization ⢠MegaRAID CacheCade Pro 2.0 Software leverages SSDs in front of HDD volumes to create high-capacity, high-performance controller cache pools ⢠MegaRAID Fast Path Software provides high-performance I/O acceleration for SSD arrays connected to 6Gb/s MegaRAID SATA+SAS controllers

It will be really nice if Cisco will make it possible to use Lsi cachecade on the 12g raid controller

Greetings.
I don't believe you will see that enabled for the M4 servers for the 12Gb controllers.
You will probably see that become available in the next generation of servers.
If that is something you are interested in, please contact your Cisco Sales/account manager, and make sure they know that is something you would like to see.
Thanks,
Kirk...
