Cisco UCS

Looking for a Design Guide where I can see how exactly design and configure Cisco UCS Blade Series Servers with (2) 2200 IOMs to Fabric Interconnects.  I like to see how Fabric Interconnects connect to Cisco FEXs.

The design guides I have downloaded from Cisco only talks about Cisco FEXs at a very high level, not going into too much details how they connect to  Fabric Interconnects.

As I understand correctly, Fabric Interconnects itself have may server ports that connect down to Chassis IOMs.  Trying to understand how Server Ports on Fabric Interconnects can work inconjuction with Cisco FEXs.

Hi Abbasali,

Cisco FEXes in UCS are use for C-Series server integrations. You won't be able use the FEXes to expand the number of ports on your fabric interconnect.

C-Series integration documentation below

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/c-series_integration/ucsm2-1/b_UCSM2-1_C-Integration/b_UCSM2-1_C-Integration_chapter_01.html

Don't forget to rate any useful posts.
