Hi all,
I was after some help with one of my servers. It's been with TAC since mid-March but I'm not getting anywhere.
Initial symptoms were - P_CATERR_N thrown in BIOS with server freezing
- Cisco recommended firmware update - no fix
- Cisco swapped mainboard - no fix
- Cisco swapped CPUs - fixed
The server, a Cisco UCS C220 M3 now runs in Windows but the VIC 1225 card will suddenly stop working, usually when under load. The VIC cards are shown in Windows as having no cable connected, reboot the server and all works normally again.
In CIMC, Inventory > PCI Adapters, I can see the UCS VIC 1225 10Gbps 2 port CNA SFP+ shows firmware as N/A, and Cisco VIC Adapters is empty. Cisco has sent me a replacement 1225 but the symptoms are the same.
Has anyone seen this issue before and can anyone recommend what to try next?
Thanks in advance.
Andy

Mine is working fine with ESXi 6.7 and Windows Server 2019.

Same issues for VIC 1455 on UCS C225-M6
