We are moving cages at DC and I want to bring up a new pair of fabric interconnects.
1st) What is the next generation hardware as UCS-FI-6248UP is beginning its EOL journey?
2nd) If I backup the configuration of the UCS-FI-6248UP, can I upload this configuration to the UCS-FI-XX48UP?
3) Would the blades/chassis migrated to the new FI simply retain their MAC addresses from the old UCS?
Or would they get new mac addresses when inserted into the new UCS?
Any other thoughts or resources on this kind of migration would be much appreciated. Currently I have pair of 6248s with 10 chassis and mostly M5 blades. The end goal is a new FI pair with the same configuration as the old except that I would use a new management address block for managing the UCS and the KVM IP addresses.

There is a migration process for going to 6454 detailed in https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/ucs-manager/GUI-User-Guides/Fabric-Interconnect-Migration/4-0/b_Migrating_from_6200_to_6400/b_Migrating_from_6200_to_6400_chapter_010.html
The mgmt IPs could reconfigured either before or after the migration.
