Datacentre interconnection option

Hi;

I have a requirement for a datacentre interconnection that the DCs are about 600km apart. Has anyone experienced the DCB (Datacentre Bridging) at close to this distance? or should I be looking at OTV ?

The features what I am looking between the DCs are:

Layer - 2 between the DCs

FCoE Between the DCs.

gives a good overview, although it refers to EMC as storage.

OTV doesn't have a distance limitation

The max. distance might be limited by the application, e.g. Sphere / vMotion

Regarding FCoE; todays FCoE implementations don't support 600 km; you have to extend classical fibrechannel with FCIP (dark fibre over this distance requires optical amplifiers, and therefore most likely comes from a service of a provider, and is rather expensive)
