I'm getting following error when trying to change FC Uplink port to FC Storage port.
Error while configuring FC Port 3 as a FC storage port.
FcEstcEp must be contained under SubGroup hierarchy for this platform: cannot contain: object of class fabricFcEstcEp with RN phys-fc-slot-1-port-3, DN is fabric/fc-estc/A/phys-fc-slot-1-port-3
Cisco UCS 6536 is in FC Switching Mode with DAS (direct attached storage)
Its Unified port 35 (breakout to 4x16 FC)
1/35/1 and 1/35/2 are working properly as storage ports, however when trying to add 1/35/3 or 1/35/4 i get the error above.

@david-samoska good question! Fo so it's a hardware limitation. On a UCS 6536 with a breakout cable, you can only use the first two ports (1/35/1 and 1/35/2) for storage. The other two (1/35/3 and 1/35/4) are locked out from being storage ports.
U have to options here: 1. Use them as Uplinks; Meaning that u can configure ports 1/35/3 and 1/35/4 as FC Uplinks to a different switch. They just can't be storage ports....... and 2. Re Cable, which if u need more storage ports, u'll have to use a different physical port group....
check this link: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/ucs-manager/Reference-Docs/Configuration-Limits/4-2/b_UCS_Configuration_Limits_4_2.html
and hope it helps!

I've erased all configuration
connect local-mgmt
erase configuration
Configured fresh instance, FC switch mode, now I cannot setup 1/35/1 and 1/35/2 as Storage ports, getting the same error.
All ports are FC Uplinks by default.
I have restored previous configuration from backup, still have 2 FC Storage, but still cannot assign FC uplinks to FC Storage.
Added screenshot with firmware versions.
