Hey,
i have a weird issue in that i have 8 hosts, all configured correctly - but 1 host when i go to its KVM just says 'connecting Viewer' all the time.
the other hosts are all good and i get the esx prompt screen, this affected host has no issues being used correctly in vcentre just like the other hosts.
ive given the OS a reboot, and given the host and full reboot to no avail!
we are running all hosts B200 M5 2 socket, the domain fw is 4.1(3h) but hosts havent been upgraded yet (UAT environment so not crucial, just for testing purposes). all running 7.0u2a and 4.04(h) fw
anyone have any ideas of why i can't see the splash screen?
thanks

Absolute guessing it seems CIMC isn't reachable/working/crashed/something which is preventing KVM from working.
Does that server show "inaccessible" in UCSM?
"inaccessible" usually means UCSM can't connect to CIMC.
I'd first try to SSH to the UCS FI and run `connect cimc X` where "X" is the server number (eg 1/2 for Server 2 in Chassis 1).
If `connect cimc` works then [Reset CIMC] might revive the KVM. (This simply reboots the CIMC which is out-of-band management)
(Note: `reset slot` will likely reboot the OS, so OS maintenance mode would be suggested).
If `connect cimc` does NOT work and [Reset CIMC] likely won't work then the next step would be `reset slot X`.
If `reset slot` still doesn't revive the server then physically re-seating might be required.
If none of that works, then I'd suggest a TAC case to review logs.

Hi Steven,
The host shows good, apart from not being able to see the esxi front end it is functioning normally and in use.
i will try your other suggestions and get back to you with the results!
