Fabric Interconnect 6454 IMM or UMM mode to 9508 and 5108

For UCSX 9508, can Fabric Interconnect 6454 be in UMM mode or does it need to be in IMM mode?  Can it use both 9508 and 5108 at the same time to support M5, M6, and M7?

The general recommendation is IMM mode for UCS-X but you could do UMM mode in 4.3 firmware and have a domain mixed with 5108/9508 chassis.  Just consult the UCS Manager 4.3 release notes (https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/release/notes/b_release-notes-ucsm-4_3.html) to ensure all the devices you plan on using are supported (Blades, VICs, and IFM/IOMs).
