Incidence of OOM in the log file - Hyperflex HX Health Check 4.1

Hello,

I have a 4 node HX240C-M5SX Cluster.

Looking to update firmware per instructions & sequence.

Ran HX Health Check 4.1 and ONLY failure is on one HX controller.

Indicating: Incidence of OOM in the log file  | FAIL | Check for any previous incidence of Out of Memory Condition.

Is there a way to resolve or will upgrade bypass this on firmware update?

I have not been able to find any info regarding this. 

TAC will not assist as HXDP version is 3.0 - that is why I am looking to update.

Any assistance is appreciated.

So, prior to actually kicking off the upgrade, you will want to check each storage controller for free memory (free -m )

make sure it is above 4000 MB free or you can run into issues if you hit a OOM condition during the upgrade that may stall/fail the upgrade.

The hypercheck report may include OOM instances that are very old, and not relevant currently, but you just want to check in storage controller currently.

You might want to check with TAC on help correcting the low memory condition (restarting storage controller, hxdpdiag script (restarts mgmt services to free up memory, etc)
