Installation RAID Controller On UCS 220M3

Recently I tried to install VMWare on UCS but the Embedded RAID not supporting.


I got a new RAID Controller card LSI MegaRAID SAS 9271-8i recommended by Cisco document. I Would like that someone give me some considerations or recomendations before install.

firmware version CIMC : 2.0(6d)

BIOS version  : C220M3 2.0.4b.0

VMWare version : 5.5

PCIe RAID controllers for the C220 M3 should be installed in slot 1 if you have 1 CPU or slot 2 if you have 2 CPUs. You can check the spec sheet for a diagram of which slot is which at http://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/products/collateral/servers-unified-computing/ucs-c-series-rack-servers/c220m3-sff-specsheet.pdf
