Looking for a compatible hypervisor for Cisco UCS C220 M3

Hello Cisco Community,

I’m setting up a home lab using a Cisco UCS C220 M3 server and would appreciate some guidance on finding a compatible hypervisor.

I’ve tried installing VMware ESXi (7.x and 8.x) and Proxmox VE 9, but both failed due to hardware compatibility issues.
My goal is to use a free or community hypervisor for learning and testing purposes only.

Could anyone please share:

• Which hypervisor version runs stably on the UCS C220 M3;

• Any official or Cisco-customized ISO known to work well;

• Required drivers or firmware updates for full compatibility.

hi @Hernani da Cruz , this model is bit old now so i dont think newer versions will be compatible. you can try linux KVM. but i didn't tried latest versions.
