Microsoft NLB in Cisco UCS End-Host-Mode

Hello,

we're having some issues in setting up Microsoft NLB in our environment. Here are the details:

1. We have created a dedicated VLAN for the two NLB cluster members.

2. On the distribution switch (SVI of this VLAN), we have set static arp and mac address-table entries:

arp cluster-ip 03:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx arpa

mac address-table static 03:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx vlan xxxx interface interface1 interface2

3. At interface1 a Nexus 5k is connected which brings the traffic into the virtual environment. The cluster member which is in this environment is working fine. It is getting the traffic and is answering accordingly. No issue.

4. Interface 2 is connected to a Cisco UCS 6200 Series Fabric Interconnect in End-Host-Mode. The server behind the UCS is not getting any multicast traffic.

My understanding of the issue is that the FI in End-Host-Mode is not learning any MAC addresses from the uplink side. Is there a way to statically learn the MAC to the VLAN or any other way to pass the Multicast MAC traffic?

Thank you in advance for your help!
