Multiple Uplinks to different switches

Hello, I have a project where I am trying to utilize two UCS servers from my environment for a webex mesh implementation.  The tricky part involves the uplink networking to core switches.  I have the 6248 currently in place and it has port channel up to an existing switch.  This supports a working environment with Vcenter.  For this new project we want to run more uplinks (port channel) into a separate core switch and only have two UCS servers have access to it while the other servers continue to use the existing port-channel.  These two servers will only need access to one VLAN but it must go up to this other core switch and not the existing working port-channel. So I have created the policies and service profile to be applied to the servers where the vNIC has the desired VLAN defined.  I have a few questions on the feasibility of this working:

1.  Can the UCS FI uplink with a port-channel into two separate switches where the service profile determines the vNICs and VLAN to utilize a specific port-channel.

2.  Would I have to utilize the LAN Pin group to be sure the VNics associated to the LAN connectivity policy are configured only for the new port-channel.

thank you...

Disjoint Layer 2 is not hard, just non-obvious. The above doc provide a good walk-through and configuration.
