RAM not detecting

tekbird
Visitor

Hi, I use a Cisco UCS 240 Server. Recently I installed 4 additional modules of 32GB RAM along with the existing 4 modules of 32 GB RAMs. I installed them on A1, B1, C1, D1 and G1, H1, J1, K1, but the one on B1 is not being detected. Any ideas why?

      - Perhaps the one on B1 is bad , try to swap the ram module(s) ,

Agree with other responder.  Try swapping DIMMs, and see if issue follows the DIMM currently in slot B1.

Occasionally you can have issue with dimm seating, or in rare instances, an issue with the DIMM slot itself.
