Rename hostname of CIMC - Nexus 1110

I know how to rename the hostname on CIMC gui. I just don't know if there will be impact when changing it. Do I also need to reboot for the changes to take effect? Are there other things do i need to do/check before and after renaming?

If you are just talking about the CIMC host name, and not the name defined at the VSA level,, then you can apply that, without rebooting the over all server.

I don't think that even requires a reboot of the CIMC.  If it did, you can still reboot the CIMC without impacting the VSA, VSBs (i.e. VSM/n1k).

If you had open SOL/ mgmt connections to the VSA via the CIMC, those might get reset, but again, no  impact to actual services/HA for the VSA.
