Customer replaces a broken IOM (RMA process);
Question: can one simply install the replacement IOM, and the Northbound FI will handle everything ? e.g.
- what if the IOM doesn't come with the proper (equal firmware level) as the FI ?
- will the IOM just not come up ? or is there a automatic procedure, where the FI updates the IOM ?

New IOM will be discovered and (I'm not _aware_ of any exception from this) firmware will be brought up to current policy. This can take quite a few minutes.

Thanks ! but the reality sometimes looks quite different ! eg. it doesn't work and you have to do the synch / update manually !
Lesson learned: do it only in maintenance window.
