UCS Backup solution

Hi all,

Recently, my company bought Cisco UCS system, but we couldn't build the backup solution for it.

We have experienced on RLX blade servers. It has very good backup and restore solution. The system is controlled by Control Tower server.

Can I do the same thing on the Cisco UCS?

If it is not, how can I do backup solution for UCS blade server?

Are you referring to backing up the UCS Manager configuration or the blade Operating Systems?

UCS can backup & restore it's configuration from UCS Manager.  This can also be scripted using XML and other 3rd Party management applications also.

There's no "bundled" backup solution specifically for UCS.  The hardware itself will work with any backup software solution the bare metal OS can support.  We have many customers using many different backup solutions depending on your requirements.  To name a few of the popular ones:

Vertias Netbackup
